Location:
B101, B108, B109
Since 2000, the Governor General’s Awards in Visual and Media Arts have recognized Canadian artists for their remarkable careers in fine or applied arts, film, video, audio, or new media. This year’s exhibition will showcase the work of eight outstanding laureates: Glenn Alteen, Bruce Eves, Wyn Geleynse, Spring Hurlbut, Midi Onodera, Sandra Semchuk, Adrian Stimson, and Jack Sures, winner of the Saidye Bronfman Award for excellence in the fine crafts. Created by the Governor General and the Canada Council for the Arts, these awards offer all of us an occasion to celebrate artistic excellence in Canada.
The exhibition is organized by the National Gallery of Canada in collaboration with the Canada Council for the Arts.
