The annual calendars produced by the Toronto Art Students’ League are milestones in the history of Canadian graphic arts. Each calendar treated a different theme, from Canadian verse to Canadian waterways and cities. The leading designers included A.H. Howard, D.F. Thomson, C.W. Jefferys and, in the last calendar, J.E.H. MacDonald. The exhibition includes sample pages from each calendar together with original drawings for the Toronto Art Students’ League Calendars. Organized by the National Gallery of Canada Library and Archives.
