Paul P. (b. 1977) is an artist living in Toronto. He first gained attention for his drawings and paintings of young men, which systematically re-imagined found erotic photographs along 19th-century aesthetic modes. His portraits are appropriated from gay erotic magazines, specifically those produced in the years bracketed by the beginning of gay liberation and the advent of the AIDS crisis.

He is represented in the collections of MoMA, the Whitney Museum, the Brooklyn Museum, the Hammer Museum, the National Gallery of Canada, and other institutions.

He has exhibited widely in the United States, Europe, and Canada.

Sonia Del Re holds a Master’s degree in Museology and a Ph.D. in Art History. She first interned at the NGC in 2004–05, officially joining its curatorial team in 2006. She now oversees a collection of over 27,000 works of art on paper created around the globe between the 15th and 20th centuries. She has curated exhibitions across the country and the Atlantic based on the national collection.
