Plan your School Visit

Information about how to get here, fees, group size, gallery etiquette, and check-in procedures make this section a must-read for all teachers.

2020-2021 School Program Fees and Group Admission Charges

Sketching Sessions* $6 / student $6 / student N/A
Distance Learning Webinars No charge No charge N/A
Groups of students with special needs No charge No charge No charge
Teacher-led (self-guided) No charge $4 / student $5 / student

*sketching session is only available as an additional program and therefore the group admission charge is waived

Price differences from grades K–6 to grades 7–12 are due to admission fees. The School Program fee for each program is all that you are required to pay for any additional program(s). The Admission Charge is only paid once per day. Costs do not include taxes. Costs are subject to change without notice. Prices listed are per student.


Gallery Rules

  • Look at the art with your eyes, not your hands.

  • Eat and drink in the Cafeteria or Sketches, not in the galleries.

  • Pay attention to your guide, not your smartphone. 

  • Walk; do not run.

  • Stay with your group leader.

  • Leave your valuables at home or carry them with you.

  • Leave your large bags or backpacks, umbrellas and other large items in our free cloakroom.


Arriving at the Gallery

Bring your students into the Group Entrance in an orderly fashion and instruct them to leave backpacks, coats etc. in the school programs cloakroom (located in the north corner of the Group Entrance).

To check in, have the group leader bring the confirmation letter and method of payment to the Visitor Services desk in the Group Entrance. The Visitor Services representative will process payment and advise you of your next steps.

Don’t be late! Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your program start time. If delayed, call 613-990-4888. If you arrive 20 or more minutes late, your program will be cancelled and you will be charged a cancellation fee of $80.00+tax per interpreter booked for your group.
