2014 Feature Interview: Marc Mayer in Conversation with Bharti Kher
December 8, 2014
Don’t miss the first in this NGC series of feature-length conversations with artists, occurring yearly. In this interview, NGC Director Marc Mayer speaks with internationally renowned contemporary artist Bharti Kher, born in 1969 in London, England, and now living and working in Delhi, India.
Known for transforming everyday objects into dramatic, otherworldly creations, Kher’s extraordinary triptych made from bindis on painted board, nothing marks the perimeter, just a hollow sound echoes (2011), is now part of the NGC’s permanent collection. This series of interviews with exceptional artists is made possible thanks to the generous support of Robert and Donna Poile.
