Trained Interpreters deliver FREE programs that encourage students to discuss a range of artworks while exploring curriculum-based themes. These programs are also offered in French.

The Gallery also offers webinars for your group at the time of your choice and adapted to your curriculum needs. You will find below the list of webinars and the registration information.
Offered free of charge. Distance Learning webinars are available Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 6 pm ET (8 am to 8 pm ET on Thursdays). Webinars must be booked at least four weeks in advance. To participate, you’ll need access to a computer, webcam, microphone, speakers, projector and a wired Internet connection.

Why does Rembrandt van Rijn matter? In this guided program, students will discover some of Rembrandt’s most engaging artworks assembled for the Gallery’s summer 2021 exhibition Rembrandt in Amsterdam: Creativity and Competition. The works focus on the transformative central decades of the artist’s career and expand the narrative beyond a European focus. 30 – 50 minutes.

Impressionism

Not all Impressionist art is from France! Discover the Canadian artists who took one of the world’s most revolutionary artistic movements and made it their own. This webinar complements the special exhibition Canada and Impressionism, on view at the Gallery from 21 January to 12 June 2022. 30 – 50 minutes.

Idea
(26 September to 18 November 2022)
Discover General Idea, whose witty and eccentric work challenged the art world and the world at large during their decades-long career.
Students will learn about the varied language of contemporary art, and how General Idea used art to address important social issues. 30 – 50 minutes.
