NGC Foundation

Founded in 1997, the National Gallery of Canada Foundation is a not-for-profit registered charity dedicated to supporting the Gallery.

The Foundation is made up of a family of visionary, entrepreneurial and publicly spirited philanthropists who wish to invest in Canada’s cultural heritage. From general art enthusiasts to highly specialized collectors and donors; it is a varied and dynamic group.

We welcome gifts of art, grants, endowments and bequests from individuals, families, corporations, foundations and other organizations.

Since its creation, the Foundation has raised more than $50 million and generated $20 million in earned revenue from sponsorships, membership and investment income. More than 25 endowments and special project funds have been established in support of research and acquisitions.
