Every year, the Governor General’s Awards in Visual and Media Arts (GGAVMA) celebrates Canada’s vibrant arts community.
In partnership with the Canada Council for the Arts and the Winnipeg Art Gallery, the National Gallery of Canada is proud to present a conversation between the GGAVMA 2017 winners and Rhiannon Vogl, Associate Curator of Contemporary Art.
The conversation will be followed by a meet-the-artist reception in the Gallery’s Watercourt Foyer at 7 pm. The activity is in French and in English. Simultaneous interpretation is available if a request is made to firstname.lastname@example.org before 21 February 2017. Free admission: seats in the Auditorium will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
The GGAVMA winners’ works will be on display at the Winnipeg Art Gallery from 8 April to 4 September 2017.
