Research
The Canadian Photography Institute offers a wide range of curatorial, technological, research and public outreach opportunities, attracting enthusiasts and professionals in various disciplines from all over the world.
In addition to dynamic collaborative partnerships with experts and institutions in Canada and further afield, program offerings include exhibitions, research fellowships, publications, symposia, conferences, workshops and public lectures.
The initial focus of the Institute is on digitizing its collection and developing a digital library with public access to research papers, catalogues, videos, exhibitions and interpretive content in order to ensure widespread dissemination of its collection and associated research.
A photograph is a secret about a secret. The more it tells you the less you know.
