Ronald Bloore

Untitled No. XXXI

1990
Rejecting the illusionism that has been central to much of western art since the Renaissance, Bloore seeks an iconic, non-representational form of communication in his paintings. Demonstrating various textures of paint application, his surfaces are at once figure and ground, macrocosm and microcosm, fragmented and whole.
