Resting directly on the floor and tethered by thin wires, this sculpture resembles a theatrical prop, adaptable to a range of uses or narratives, or sitting idle after the end of a show. The artist wishes to evoke the feeling of happening upon a series of ruins, a sense of time passing, and the ability to start anew from that which has been burned, buried or destroyed.
