The Paradise Institute

2001
Originally conceived for the 49th Venice Biennale, "The Paradise Institute" blends the realms of sculpture, video, and sound with an understanding of cinematic conventions in order to immerse the viewer in a highly inventive and disorienting multimedia installation that stimulates consciousness and excites sensory experience. By means of an original 13-minute DVD projection with individual stereo headphones that creates a personalized "surround sound" for each member of the audience.
