In a 1972 interview published in Canadian Forum, Pootoogook’s son Kananginak said they considered this work their first successful print. Describing the process he recalled: “My father drew the pictures on the paper, James Houston did the tracing on the tile, somebody else cut it, and Osheweetook [Osuitok] and I put the colours on.”
