Tony Anguhalluq

Green Grass and Big Mountains in June

2009
Category:
Anguhalluq participated in a two-year printing and drawing workshop, and tried his hand at carving before returning to drawing in 2005. This piece is part of a series of three dozen drawings, about half of which are landscapes. In them, Anguhalluq often presents multiple perspectives, a familiar aspect of Inuit landscapes, and imbues his images with colour palettes specific to the particular season. June is when the land is finally snow free and vegetation can grow.
