Driving Directions: Head northeast on Airport Parkway 7.5 km to Bronson Ave. Continue on Bronson for 2 km and take the exit toward Bronson Pl. Turn left at Bronson place and travel 0.1 km. Turn right onto Colonel By Drive. Follow the picturesque Colonel By Drive along the Rideau Canal, a UNESCO heritage site, until the street becomes Sussex Drive. Continue on Sussex Drive into the ByWard Market continue until you see the Gallery, to your left, at the corner of St. Patrick and Sussex. The Gallery is a large glass building with two octagonal towers. Just beyond the St Patrick/Sussex intersection you will see the left-turn lane to enter the Gallery's underground parking.
VIA Rail offers regular train service to Ottawa from points east and west, connecting with Amtrak out of the USA. The Ottawa VIA station is located just minutes east of downtown. The best way to the Gallery is to take a taxi. Should you prefer to take public transportation, the City of Ottawa's OC Transpo runs buses from the station to downtown.
Driving Directions: From the Ottawa Train Station at 200 Tremblay Rd, head east on Tremblay Rd and follow this curving round until you reach Riverside Drive (about 0.75 km). Turn right at Riverside Dr and continue on Vanier Pkwy for 3.2 km. Turn left at St Patrick St. A gentle slope will lead you to Sussex Dr where you will see the Gallery, ahead on the right, at the corner of St. Patrick and Sussex. The Gallery is a large glass building with two octagonal towers. Turn right on Sussex and get into the left-turn lane to enter the Gallery's underground parking.
The Ottawa Bus Central Station is the primary intercity bus terminal in Ottawa. The terminus is located at 265 Catherine Street, on the north west corner of Catherine and Kent, just north of Highway 417, the primary expressway through Ottawa. The majority of buses serving the station are operated by Greyhound Canada, Voyageur Colonial Bus Lines and Thom Transport. Getting from the Bus Station to the Gallery is easily done by taxi or city bus.
From highway 417, take the Metcalfe exit and head north. Follow Metcalfe Street around the Museum of Nature and continue northbound until you reach the end of the street at Wellington. You will see Parliament Hill. Turn right onto Wellington Street and continue in the left-hand lane until you reach Sussex Drive. As you approach Sussex Drive, you will see the Chateau Laurier hotel on your left-hand side. Make a left turn onto Sussex Drive and continue until you see the Gallery, to your left, at the corner of St. Patrick and Sussex. The Gallery is a large glass building with two octagonal towers. Just beyond the St Patrick/Sussex intersection you will see the left-turn lane to enter the Gallery's underground parking.
In Ottawa, public transit services with rapid transit to downtown from VIA Rail, Ottawa International Airport, and bus station are operated by OC Transpo. Bus maps, schedules, Charters, Convention Passes and Day Passes are available. Para Transpo offers door to door transportation for persons with disabilities who are unable to board conventional transit.
