Max Stern interviewed by Grace Bartholomew. – 1964. – 1 audio reel (ca. 35 min.).
Stern discusses the career of Auguste Rodin for the television program Calendar. The interview is cut off abruptly after 11 minutes and is continued by Pierre Jokish, an employee of the Dominion Gallery, dictating letters to be typed and sent to clients.
Sound quality diminshes as the tape progresses.

Instructions to Dominion Gallery staff and miscellaneous. – ca. 1970. – 4 audio reels (ca. 67 min.).
On Side A, Stern dictates instructions from Paris to staff at the Dominion Gallery regarding Archipenko casts and the shipment of various art works purchased in Europe. Side B opens with ambient noises in Stern's apartment, followed by Stern testing the tape recorder, and an unidentified French language broadcast consisting mostly of an interview with Stern regarding the Dominion Gallery and the art market. This interview is cut off abruptly after approximately 20 minutes and is continued by an interview with Stern in English on the subject of art as an investment. In the second interview, Stern mentions Jesús Carlos de Vilallonga, Wadie Mahdy, Hans Schleeh, and Auguste Rodin.

Report on trip to New York and instructions to Dominon Gallery staff. – ca. 1970. – 1 audio reel (ca. 21 min.).
Stern, en route to Naples, reports to staff at the Dominion Gallery regarding his recent stay in New York, where he attended an auction of paintings and visited several art galleries. The tape also includes general instructions to Dominion Gallery staff.

Telephone conversations with Dominion Gallery staff and The City at Six program. – ca. 1978. – 1 audio cassette (ca. 27 min.).
The first 26 minutes of Side A consists of telephone conversations between Max Stern and employees at the Dominion Gallery. The remaining four minutes of Side A and the first minute of Side B consists of an interview of Max Stern by Debra Weinstein for the program The City at Six. The remainder of Side B is blank.

Telephone conversations with Dominion Gallery staff and CBC Nightcap interview. – 1978. – 1 audio cassette (ca. 66 min.).
The first 12 minutes of Side A and all of Side B consist of telephone conversations between Max Stern and Dominion Gallery staff that mostly concern day-to-day business, including art works sold. Following the telephone conversation portion of Side A is a segment of the CBC program Nightcap, on which Dal Corran interviews Max Stern about investing in art (ca. 14 min.).

Max Stern converses with staff regarding gallery activities, including client enquiries and art works sold.
Sound quality of Side A is poor. Conversations on Side B start approximately 15 minutes into the tape.

Telephone conversations with Dominion Gallery staff. – ca. 1979. – 1 audio cassette (ca. 42 min.).
Tape consists of telephone conversations between Stern and Dominion Gallery employees. Most of the discussions refer to works recently sold by the Gallery. Also included are two conversations between Stern and Gordon Sumner of the Pantiles Gallery in London, England, regarding three watercolour paintings by L.R. O'Brien.

Mathieu speaks about accepting an invitation from Stern to exhibit at the Dominion Gallery and the differences between being an artist in Quebec and in France. Side B is blank.

Telephone conversations, Pulse News report, and Jesús Carlos de Vilallonga interview.– ca. 1980. – 1 audio cassette (ca. 40 min. 30 sec.).
Side A consists of telephone conversations between Stern (in Florida) and Dominion Gallery staff. Topics include art works sold by or offered for sale to the Dominon Gallery (ca. 8 min. 30 sec.). Side B includes a segment from a Pulse News report relating to art export legislation (ca. 5 min. 30 sec.) and a Radio Canada program about the Spanish-born artist Jesús Carlos de Vilallonga. The Vilallonga segment includes comments by Stern regarding the artist's work (ca. 26 min. 30 sec.).

Robert Vairo interviews Evette Stevens, Max Stern, and others about investing in art, antiques, and other collectibles. (10 min. 30 sec.). Side B consists of telephone converations between Stern and employees at the Dominion Gallery regarding day-to-day business matters.

Jesús Carlos de Vilallonga interview. – 4 June 1980. – 1 audio cassette (ca. 18 min. 30 sec.).
Vilallonga speaks to Lise Gervais about his life in Spain, mentioning his childhood in Catalonia, the Spanish civil war, and Surrealism. The artist also discusses coming to Montreal, his studies at the Université de Montréal, and his friendships with Guido Molinari, Max Stern, and others. Side B is blank.

Michel Moreault and Takao Tanabe interviewed by Ramona Randall, CBC Saturday Spotlight.– 13 May 1989. – 1 audio cassette (ca. 45 min.).
Michael Moreault discusses renovations to the Dominion Gallery, his attempts to give the gallery a new image, and his association with Max Stern (9 min.). Takao Tanabe comments on the subject matter of his paintings, his early life on the Queen Charlotte Islands, his first exhibitions in Montreal, and his current exhibition at the Dominion Gallery (8 min.). The remainder of Side A and all of Side B consist of an unrelated interview with Margie and Christopher Gillis.

A cultural events program hosted by Henri Barras that includes a segment announcing an exhibition of works by David Hockney at the Dominion Gallery. Two interviews with Fernand Leduc recorded on the occasion of an exhibition of the artist's work at the Dominion Gallery. In the first interview, Leduc speaks of his association with the Dominion Gallery and the evolution of his painting, including the influence of Paul-Emile Borduas and Automatism. Promotional video for contemporary Italian artists Livio Conta, Franceso Jennarelli, Guido Mastallone, Libero Vitali, and others. The narrator provides biographical information for each artist and also gives prices of their work.
Visual quality is poor.

Jewels of Heritage with Don Peck. CFCF 12, Montreal. – 15 August 1988 (broadcast 12 October 1988). – 1 video cassette (ca. 25 min.).
Don Peck presents examples of Montreal's cultural heritage, including Dominion Square, the Windsor Hotel, the McCord Museum, the Château de Ramezay, the Dominion Gallery, and the Mount St. Stephen Club. The segment on the Dominion Gallery, starting approximately 16 minutes into the tape, shows several interior views of the gallery and works by Dirck Hals, Henry Moore, Auguste Rodin, John Lyman, and Stanley Cosgrove.

Tape consists of two interviews: The first, joined in progress, features Georges-Hebert Germain and Marie-France Bazzo discussing works by Françoise Sullivan at the Galerie Circa and the Dominion Gallery (ca. 6 min.). This program is interrupted by an interview with Sullivan and David Moore (ca. 15 min.), in which Sullivan discusses her return to painting in the 1980s and the role of mythology in her work, and Moore discusses the inspiration for his sculptures in wood and metal.

In the first program, Alain Houle gives a brief tour of the gallery while discussing aspects of evaluating art. In the segment on Hughes, Stephane Leduc interviews Hughes biographer Patricia Salmon about the artist's work.
