Touring Exhibitions
The National Gallery of Canada's On Tour Travelling Exhibitions Program
The National Gallery of Canada’s On Tour Travelling Exhibitions Program offers a stimulating and varied selection of exhibitions of the highest calibre, presenting works of art in a variety of media and from different periods and cultures. The On Tour program is intended to reach a broad range of audiences in both urban and regional centers and circulates approximately 30 exhibitions each year to museums and galleries across Canada.
Committed to reaching as many audiences as possible, exhibition publications, new educational programs and the On Tour lecture series are developed to support the touring program. Our partnerships with regional institutions in Canada expand exhibition programming, increase audience awareness of Canadian art and artists, and provide a unique opportunity to share the collection with Canadians.
Whether as a gallery visitor or as a museum venue looking to reserve an exhibition, please take a look at the 2008-09 On Tour exhibitions of interest to you.
This program is generously supported in part by the Distinguished Patrons of the National Gallery of Canada Foundation On Tour Endowment Fund.
