Library Services

Access and Open Hours

The Library is open to the public Wednesday to Friday 10 am to 4:45 pm, Thursdays (1 October to 29 April 2010) until 5:45 pm.  Closed statutory holidays and on 29, 30, 31 December 2010.

Upon arrival at the Library, researchers must register by completing the Application for the Use of Research Collections and Services. A piece of identification such as a driver licence or student card is required.

Interlibrary Loan Service

Although the Library collection is non-circulating, books are available through interlibrary loan.

Restrictions: Reference works, periodicals, auction catalogues, catalogues raisonnés, audiovisual materials, archives, documentation files, study photographs, fragile and oversize materials, and rare and special collections.

Length of loans: Four weeks, renewable once. No handling charges.

Conditions: The Library lends to other libraries exclusively. Request by mail, fax (613) 990-9818, or email pebill@gallery.ca only, please. Return borrowed materials in same packaging, by same method (registered mail, courier, etc.). All items FOR USE IN BORROWING LIBRARY ONLY.

Photographic services: Please inquire for policy, procedures and costs
Microfilming services: Not available
Loans requested for exhibition purposes are considered separately.
