Volunteers and Interns

Paul Kane, 1810-1871. Wanderungen unter den Indianern Nordamerika's von Canada nach Vancouver's-Insel... Leipzig: Hermann Emil Schrader, 1859. The Library of J. Russell Harper (1914-1983). Gift of Mary Elizabeth Harper Ogilvie (1915-1991) and Jennifer Harper (1946-1997).Volunteers contribute actively to many aspects of the Library and Archives program: acquisitions, cataloguing, archives, documentation and visual resources. Volunteers have a background or interest in art history, or work experience in a museum, library or archives; their energy, enthusiasm and skills are invaluable in helping the Library and Archives to organize its collections for the benefit of researchers in Canada and abroad.

The Library welcomes applications for internships from students in fine art, information or records management, from the secondary school level to students in post-graduate studies.

Inquiries concerning volunteer work should be addressed to the Chief, Library and Archives; inquiries concerning internships should be addressed to the Internship Program, Human Resources department.
