Malak

13 Apr 2002 - 13 Jun 2002

The name Malak Karsh (1915–2001) has been closely linked with the photographic representation of the National Capital Region for almost 60 years through his numerous, widely known photo stories and publications. These have been instrumental in establishing the prestigious image of the region and its attractions. However, they have overshadowed two other aspects of the photographer's work, described by him as "commercial photography and pictorial journalism." This exhibition opening six months after Malak's death, sheds light on all aspects of his career by presenting a selection of his best works.
