The Canadian biennial exhibition It Is What It Is: Recent Acquisitions of New Canadian Art highlights the Gallery's commitment to collecting contemporary Canadian art by showcasing a selection of our most recent acquisitions. These artists create in a variety – and often combination of – media, from video to drawing and painting, photography to sculpture and installation. Some of the artists featured include David Altmejd, Shuvinai Ashoona, Valérie Blass, Rodney Graham, Sarah Anne Johnson, Luanne Martineau, Gareth Moore and Benny Nemerofsky Ramsay.
