Pascal Grandmaison

16 Nov 2007 - 17 Feb 2008

Active since the mid-1990s, Pascal Grandmaison has, in recent years, emerged as one of the most rigorous and innovative artists of his generation. Drawing on both photography and video, his work is notable for a tone that combines empathy with detachment, coolness with poetry, and renders the contemporary world to seem like an archetypal image. The exhibition will comprise about 20 works. Organized and circulated by the Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal, a provincially owned corporation funded by the Ministère de la Culture et des Communications du Québec.
