This work presents a painting of a woman from three different perspectives. We can imagine someone moving about the space, first standing at the doorway to a room, entering to inspect the painting, and finally retreating, with the viewer turning around for one last glimpse. The narrative is cinematic and almost humorous. "Hawaii" takes its name from Snow’s use of tropical colours, and features the same stylized profile of a woman as depicted in various media in his trademark "Walking Woman" series, produced between 1961 and 1967.
