This image highlights the unique clothing style of the Baker Lake region, which includes angular shoulders, longer hood, and decorative fringe. The print is one of two by Oonark that were included in the 1960 Cape Dorset Annual Graphics Collection. This piece highlights the graceful lines and elegant compositional style that would become part of Oonark’s trademark style. Oonark had a long and prolific art career, and remains the only Inuk artist outside of Cape Dorset to be included in their annual print collection.
