Jessie Oonark was fascinated by clothing design - especially the intricate styling of Inuit parkas and the variations that occurred amongst different regions and cultural groups. Beginning in the late 1950s, when she began to draw and make wall hangings, her affinity for shape, pattern, and colour inspired much of her work. Here she reinvents this couple's clothing, with triangles for the woman and circles for the man.
