Untitled, c. 1961-1969
woodcut in red on polyester web paper
Printed by Roy C. Judd
86 x 55.3 cm
National Gallery of Canada (no. 17179.2)
These prints are part of a larger series of woodcuts, all of which were printed by Roy C. Judd, the artist's father. Roy Judd was also responsible for making the original wood-blocks, which were later sold. The parallelogram shape with linear divisions recalls the upper element of the red floor piece "Untitled" 1963 (reconstructed 1975) in the collection of the National Gallery of Canada (acc. no. 18476).
