This print is dated after the completion of the "Engraved Passion". The subject is not part of the traditional cycle of Passion images, but is related to an unrealized series that Dürer planned on the "Acts of the Apostles", which follow the death of Christ. It is usually considered with the "Engraved Passion" because of the proximity in date, as well as the similar size and technique.
