Kitsegukla is a Gitksan village on the upper Skeena River, B.C.
Emily Carr sketched in the village of Gitsegukla in 1912, and Edwin Holgate, in 1926. Carr depicted the village's poles from a distance while Holgate pushed them into the foreground, framing but also somewhat obscuring the view of the village and distant landscape.
