This view presents the corner tower of the Punta della Dogana (Customs House). It features two Atlases holding a golden ball supporting the figure of Fortune. Gondolas navigate the stretch of water that includes the "Bacino" (Pool of San Marco) and the Giudecca Canal. This building also appears in Guardi's painting of the Church of S. Maria della Salute hung nearby.
