    Prints, Drawings and Photographs Galleries

    01 Feb 2013 - 14 Apr 2013

This exhibition of 120 black and white photographs by British photojournalist Don McCullin traces the artist’s journey from working class England to the world’s most notorious conflict zones, including Cyprus, the Congo, Biafra, Vietnam, Lebanon and Ireland. McCullin is part of the tradition of humanist photography and war art associated with names such as Goya, Dix and Capa. His more recent work – lyrical, brooding landscapes of Somerset wetlands and Indian elephant festivals – invites quiet reflection. Organized by the National Gallery of Canada.
