Volunteers' Circle  The Volunteers’ Circle of the National Gallery of Canada supports the work of the Gallery in many ways. The Circle presents study groups for members of the public who are interested in learning more about the visual arts. The English-speaking docents and the French-speaking guides bénévoles give daily scheduled talks on individual works of art to visitors and lead visits for groups of school children from Grades 1 to 6.

Travel is arranged for members of the public to visit regional art venues, artists’ workshops and to visit important art centres abroad. Volunteers assist in exhibitions and behind the scenes in the library and the bookstore. A large number of volunteers also visit local anglophone and francophone elementary schools to bring the world of art to children.
