Before returning to Quebec City, after an inspection tour of New Brunswick and Nova Scotia, Lord Dalhousie and the artist, John Crawford Young, stopped at Bay Chaleur. This image describes the intense fishing activities along the Gaspé Peninsula. The entourage witnessed it during the month of August 1826.
