Youngest son of sculptor Louis-Philippe Hébert (1850-1917), Adrien Hébert spent his childhood in Paris and Montreal and studied in both these cities alongside several famous artists, including William Brymner. His first paintings of the Port of Montreal date back to 1924. Hébert is considered one of the leading painters in Quebec in his time.
