Summary

After exploring works by the Group of Seven, students will employ similar principles and elements of design to design a landscape composition and apply it to a T-shirt.

Theory:

Students will demonstrate how the principles and elements of design are used to create an area of emphasis.

Creation:

Students will produce a landscape T-shirt using a variety of design strategies (emphasis, balance, rhythm, unity, variety, proportion) that communicate a range of thoughts, feelings, and experiences.

Analysis:

Students will explain how the effective use of the elements and principles of design contributes to an artwork's ability to communicate feelings and convey ideas.
