Summary

After exploring the complex visual worlds of M.C. Escher, students will learn how to identify, recognize and discuss texture, an element of design, and patterning, a principle of design, then incorporate that learning into a texture poster.

Theory:

Students will learn to identify and recognize the elements of design with a special emphasis on texture.

Creation:

Students will produce pattern in the creation of a texture poster.

Analysis:

Students will describe texture, an element of design, in a variety of art works as it relates to their own knowledge and experience.
