This lesson plan introduces students to the theme of the city in art, using 19th- and 20th- century works by Canadian artists from various backgrounds. Using objects made of various materials; students will design a futuristic city.
Grade 7-8
Urban Scenes:
This lesson plan introduces students to the theme of the city in art, using 19th- and 20th- century works by Canadian artists from various backgrounds. The students will design a poster that comments upon their vision of the city.
Grade 9-12
Urban Desire:
This lesson plan introduces students to the theme of the city in art, using 19th- and 20th- century works by Canadian artists from various backgrounds. Students will consider and explore the deeper meanings of the urban spaces that surround them and redesign a neglected urban space into their reflection of a better world.
