Robert Fones
Robert Fones was born in 1949 in London, Ontario, where he received his art training at H.B. Beal Secondary School, influenced by such artists as Greg Curnoe. In 1969 he received his first Canada Council Grant, which enabled him to continue to work as a full-time artist. He is best known for his interest in the visual and material aspects of popular culture, explored experimentally through media including collage, sculpture and lithography.
