Every year thousands of children visit the National Gallery of Canada with their parents, grandparents and classmates. You may have even shared your love of art on a visit to the National Gallery with a young person in your own life. Unfortunately, not every child has this opportunity.
In consultation with local school boards, we will identify classrooms for which economic access is an issue. Our goal is to bring 1500 students to experience the Gallery in person. Your donation today will be directed towards transportation costs to and from the Gallery, as well as all programs costs while at the Gallery. Students will visit the galleries, take part in engaging activities and then create their own clay sculpture in the studio.
A visit to the Gallery can inspire children to look carefully at art, discover the world around them, think critically and see things in new ways.
